Our Work Process
Clear
Our work begins with clearly understanding the firm's needs, wants
and, to the degree necessary, the situation driving the
need and/or impacting success. Once a project is outlined,
the scope and timeframe are documented in a formal quote.
We identify outcomes and clarify processes with you before
we begin and check in with you periodically to assure
we are on track.
Organized
While no two engagements are completely alike, when beginning projects that are inherently similar (websites,
surveys, etc.) we employ our specially designed tools
which define and guide the processes, allowing for customization
where appropriate. Our project guides ensure we maximize
your time by streamlining your involvement. When embarking
on one-of-a-kind projects (about a third of what we do)
our approach is methodical and includes breakdowns of
the project steps, as well as work-flow and timelines.
Low Maintenance
When you hire us, expect us to invest thoroughly in understanding
exactly what you want. After this, your involvement is reduced
to periodic updates and approvals along the
way. Project details—oversight and follow-through—is our responsibility. Our clients
agree that this is an area where we add significant value because we save them from dealing with time-consuming
details.
Accountable
When you hire Golden Marketing, you can be assured that
the outcomes defined at the beginning are the outcomes
you receive at projects’ end. We are clear upfront
about realistic expectations and how to measure results
and progress. Where an outcome isn’t measurable,
we agree on other terms for determining a job well-done
and fully completed. We stand by our services — understanding
your expectations and managing them as situations change
is paramount to our success in your eyes.
Fee Structure
We don't bill by the hour! We use Fixed Price Agreements and we work two ways:
1) Project-based. Most of our work consists of projects definable with a
beginning, middle and end. Projects are performed
for a flat-fee amount that is tied to a scope and a timeframe,
and is agreed-to in advance. Changes in project scope or
timeframe are discussed first with you and you then decide how to proceed. Should the change impact
price, a change order is produced and agreed-upon before
work resumes.
For projects, the most common payment terms are half-down (large projects may be just 1/4 down) with the remaining balance spread evenly over the months of the project duration.
2) Retainer-based. It's advantageous for you to have access to us for spontaneous consultations and/or last minute small projects. When firms demonstrate they have on-going needs that routinely fall outside of the scope of defined projects, we establish a monthly retainer to cover all such projects.
Essentially, we reserve capacity to accommodate your spontaneous or last-minute needs around our other planned workload.
So you can maintain control of your budget, you select the type of consultation access you desire. The type of access you choose determines the amount and level of "capacity" we reserve to serve you when there is little or no advance planning.
